How Volcanoes Work — A useful, comprehensive site geared towards undergraduates at the college level (developed by a professor at San Diego State University)

Volcano Information Center — Useful site with lots of volcanological sources (developed by a professor at UCSB).

U.S Geological Survey — Volcano FAQs, brief outline of hazards, and more stuff.

Cascade Volcano Observatory — Articles (many also available for PDF download), maps, and other info chiefly concerned with specific volcanoes in Washington, Oregon, and California. Try the "Glossary" and "Hazards" links.

Global Volcanism Program — Information and more links from the National Museum of Natural History/Smithsonian Institution

Long Valley Caldera — Info from the USGS about earthquake activity etc. Long Valley (near Mammoth)

The 1991 eruption of Mt. Pinatubo — This USGS site contains the full report to the Philippine government; lots of information on lahars and other hazards.

The WhyFiles on Volcanoes — An eclectic, humorous site on volcanoes directed at the informed non-specialist.

Nyiragongo, DRC — Some pictures of and background on the 11,300-ft-high volcano in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire) that erupted in January 2002.
