This field trip is designed to allow students to view a very beautiful landscape two hours from campus. The volcanic rock formations are weathered to appear as pinnacles. The volcanic rocks are about 21 million years old but formed in southern California and transported to the current location along the San Andreas fault.
The field trip will include a visit to the visitor center and a 2 mile hike. More information can be found on the following website: |
